Challenge yourself…

…or get your feet wet in a seaside competition

Noosa’s beautiful beaches are often known as the main attraction, but when many tourists arrive, they discover the majestic hinterland, and often come back again and again for the memories and serenity of this stunning area. Why not explore it on horseback, viewing the lakes, rolling hills and national park all from a new, more adventurous vantage point? Several local businesses offer horseback riding classes and adventures, whether you are looking for a romantic carriage, stunning wedding photos, or just an adventurous family getaway in the hinterlands. Rest assured, there are options for almost all skill levels.

World Series Swims Spring Open Day is this Saturday at Noosa Main Beach where the course will be a single lane, the width of Noosa Main Beach, close to the shore. Distances include 1km (1 lap), 2km (2 laps), 3km (3 laps) or 5km (5 laps).

Best of all, this “competition” is the perfect time to get your feet wet and try ocean swimming, because events are not actually timed, and the water safety crew with medical teams will be there to ensure a safe environment for those looking to challenge themselves.

Day passes are available for those wishing to participate in multiple distances, check-in begins at 8 am, and online entries are open until 5 pm Friday, with a limited number of entries available onsite the day of the event. Training aids, such as wetsuits, flippers and fins are permissible.

After a challenging day of swimming, there’s no better place to relax and rejuvenate than Noosa Quays. Just a stroll away from award winning establishments on popular Hasting Street and minutes from the event, the resort offers absolute waterfront apartments with oversized balconies and views of the serene Noosa Sound. The sauna, sea salt breezes and tropical gardens await for the ultimate relaxation experience. To see images of our individual Noosa Sound apartments here
