Food glorious food…

…festive fare in Noosa

foodWhat better place to celebrate the festive season than Noosa? From fine dining to alfresco, to beach picnics, our talented foodies make the most of quality local produce serving up some fine festive fare. Here on your doorstep, you’ll find artisan producers, farmers’ markets, specialty providores and major supermarket chains – with all you’ll need to stock your holiday pantry.

Spend lazy days by the beach, on the river or under the rainforest canopy of Noosa’s National Park. Our balmy evenings are perfect for a promenade along Hastings Street bathed in twinkling fairy lights and Christmas tree, Noosa style!  Close by, other local precincts are celebrating: Noosa Junction has its Giant Santa, Christmas Twilight Market on Friday 16 December and free wrapping stations if you buy a gift; Tewantin has its 21st annual gala Christmas Carnival on 11 December; there’s carols in the park at Peregian Beach from 3pm – 9pm and carols on the river at the Noosaville Lions Park on Sunday 18 December.

Treat yourself to a little Christmas magic at your favourite Noosa table – in a park, under the stars or in one of our many restaurants and cafes.

If you plan to ring in the New Year at Noosa Quays, you’ll be spoilt for choice. The views from our balcony’s and private beach are spectacular and the perfect place to kick off your night – just perfect for a glass of bubbly.

THE NOOSA FESTIVE SEASON GUIDE has Christmas lunches and New Year’s Eve fun, and restaurant opening hours from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Day.

If far from the maddening crowd…

…is more your style

Why not consider a visit to Noosa Quays outside of peak times? With school and university back, February the perfect time to re-charge after Christmas – especially if you’ve been the host! May, June and July offer sunny days and the best of Noosa’s natural attractions without the crowds. You’ll also find a range of weekend events from food and wine, distance swims to arts, music and entertainment.

This ‘best kept secret’ time to visit is becoming popular with return visitors and many guests are finding us booked out when they call. Being low season we can offer very reasonable rates ranging from $250 a night for a three-bedroom river view to $130 per night for a two-bedroom poolside. Email or call Glenn or Suzie on 07 54492699 if you fancy an off-peak break.

Why not see…

…majesty passing by

The Southern Hemisphere humpback whales put on a spectacular show every year from May to November as they migrate north to warmer waters to mate and breed. Then at the end of spring, their journey takes them down south, heading to Antarctica to feed on krill. On the way, mothers regularly rest and play with their young in the calm waters of Laguna Bay. There are many vantage points from Noosa beaches, coastal trails and organised whale watching tours. This year we sighted hundreds of whales and many of our Noosa Quays guests took the opportunity of a 10-minute trip out to see these majestic ocean creatures up close.
