Run, cycle and swim…

…to compete for the win

The beautiful and diverse landscapes of Noosa, from its seaside to its hinterland, make it the perfect spot for the Triathlon Multi-Sport Festival. A festival now over 30 years old, the original Multi-Sport Festival featured dated traditions like optional helmets and banned wetsuits, and lasted only one day. Throughout the years, the festival has changed with the times, though the landscape for the competition remains beautifully unchanged.

Cyclists will enjoy the lush hinterlands while competing, while runners will be near the river on Noosa Parade with a celebration at the popular Hastings Street. Swimmers, of course, will be enjoying the serene waters of the sea while competing. The fifth night of the event will commence the competition with a triathlon, the third longest Olympic distance triathlon in the world.

The Multi-Sport Festival is held from 28 October to 1 November 2015 with entertainment beginning on October 30 at 4:30, followed by a 7:30 pm fireworks display on Noosa Main Beach. The main events include Breakfast Fun Run, Tour de Noosa, Noosa Special Triathlon, 5 km Bolt, Run Swim Run, Superkidz Triathlon and Noosa 1000 Ocean Swim.

Entries are still available for families, teams and charities of all ages and abilities. For those looking for accommodation that allows a peaceful getaway from the action without the worry of taxis or transportation, Noosa Quays is just 100 meters away from the running leg of the race. Just a ten minute stroll to the starting line, Noosa Quays is perfectly situated close to Hastings Street, so you can celebrate as much as you’d like before a quick stroll back to the luxury resort. The resort features an abundance of amenities such as oversized waterfront balconies for almost all rooms and a private beach for your stand up paddle board or relaxation.
