Who wouldn’t love to indulge in a 10-day-long-weekend of music, theatre, food and thought? This July, Noosa will welcome over 120 events and 250 artists at the annual Noosa Alive! Festival.

Held on 21 July – 30 July 2017, Noosa will burst with talent, showcasing the best we have in artists, performers, authors, visual art, film, food and all things Noosa. Bigger than ever before, here’s a sneak peek of what’s on offer this July!

For the Creatives –

Shelly & Jasmin Pugh, from the renowned Pugh family of artist masters, will be hosting three Art Workshops at the Rococo Beach Club Marquee on Noosa Main Beach. Each class will encourage you to explore your artistic freedom, experiment using various art concepts and techniques and; make creative use of the beautifully natural surrounds of Noosa.

  • Thursday 27 July – Fibres & Textures
  • Friday 28 July – Portrait Freedoms
  • Saturday 29 July – Sculpture & Form

For the Love of Dance –

This year’s festival hosts many amazing dance talents and styles from all around the globe. Whether it’s a Cabaret performance or a Salsa spectacular you are into, we have something for everyone.

The 2017 program will even see the Queensland Ballet back again, with a performance range of classical, contemporary and neo-classical ballet.

For the Muso’s

Noosa Alive! is packed with amazing musical talents. But one that we cannot go past is Jeff Duff, who is performing a David Bowie songbook at this year’s festival. Straight from the stages of the Sydney Opera House, Jeff’s show “Bowie Unzipped” celebrates the life of one of the world’s most iconic performers and in the way he was best remembered; glitter, colour and glam rock. This flamboyant one-night-only performance is an unmissable experience.

For the Foodies –

Noosa is known to be a culinary powerhouse. And in true Noosa fashion, this festival showcases the best we have in food and wine, with service to match. From the shores of Noosa Main Beach under the Rococo’s Beach Club Marquee to the stunning backdrop and culinary talent of Quamby Place, this year’s event is a foodies dream. Visit the Noosa Alive! website for all food events during the festival.

For the Love of Theatre –

Noosa Alive! is proud to present “Twists and Turns and Under the Covers” a play created by the Olympic Gold Medalist, Matthew Mitcham. The production told with honesty and courage, tells Matthew’s inspiring story. You can expect more vibrancy, charm and hilariously brutal honesty as he delivers a few Public Service Announcements he’s learnt through trial and (mostly) error.

This year’s program also hosts the 40th Annual Once Act Play Festival. This festival (within a festival) premieres the top 3 finalist plays from the National One-Act Playwriting Competition.

This year’s finalists are –

  • Seeking Nirvana by Dave Wellings from Clifton (QLD)
  • The Big Lap by Bruce Olive from Buderim
  • Unforgettable by Cerise De Gelder from Victoria
