Throughout the Christmas holiday, Noosa has plenty of festive activities for kids of all ages. From Boxing Day to January 3, the free holiday buses are the easiest way for the family to enjoy activities and explore all over Noosa, even the hinterland. A few of the activities require planning and reservations, so check out our helpful list below so you can begin planning the school holiday!

  • Noosa Regional Gallery, Tewantin – For children and adults, unique fun is sure to be had at the Glass Workshops on 15 December. For those looking for something free that doesn’t require booking, the Free Family Art Day will host art activities based on exhibitions on 13 December, 10 January and 14 February. On 16 December, more festivities begin with engaging and creative school holiday workshops on 16 and 17 December, along with 6, 7, 13 and 14 January.
  • Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club, Noosaville – From December 14 to January 11, a variety of Youthsail programs will be available, as well as the Tackers program for those under 12.
  • Bike Camps, Noosa Region – Bike On is ideal for kids of ages approximately 5 to 15, as the class is led by professionals looking to teach those who need improvement with biking skills.
  • Eumundi Square Markets, Eumundi – From 9 am to noon every Friday, kids can get hands-on experience with baby animals! Live music is also provided, with a weekly fashion show at 11 a.m., and an assortment of cafes and shops will be open for tea and shopping.
  • Oz Ski Resort, Coolum – From 10 am to 4 pm each day other than Christmas, kids can climb the walls, bounce on trampolines, balance on beams and enjoy other fun water activities. The man made fresh water ski boat facility will also host beginner to advanced level classes for skiers and wake boarders throughout the holiday.
  • Noosa 5 Cinemas – Open each day other than Christmas, the cinema offers screenings of 3D movies, holiday favourites and the latest blockbusters.
  • Noosa Ferry, Noosa Heads – Kids can take the Eco Cruise to learn about Noosa’s incredible wildlife on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Kids Fun Horse Rides, Noosa hinterland and Mary Valley – Horses, novelty events, prizes and games will be enjoyed along with a sausage sizzle lunch from 8:30 am to 4 pm daily. Guided riding tours are available through the rainforest and farmland.
  • Tewantin Splash Park, Tewantin – Overlooking the Noosa River, this waterpark is now open for kids of all ages daily. Water sprays, picnic tables, a nearby skateboard park and marina are just a few of the things kids and adults alike can enjoy.
