Hydrothon Noosa

Swim, paddle and run…

…to win big with seaside fun

Beginning June 21, competitors ages 11 and up can compete in the inaugural Hydrothon at Noosa Beach, which officially begins the 2015 Triple Crown Series. Triathlon Australia sanctions the event, which offers teams for kids and those above 16 years of age. Adults will race over 18 km which includes 1 km of swimming, 9 km of ski paddling and 8 km of running. Youth teams will compete in a similar way, but in distances of 3.5 km.

The hydrothon hosts both teams and individuals, with discounts provided to teams. Entry fees, which are $105 per team or $75 each, include items like trucker hats, swim caps, race tattoos and finisher’s medals. Five groups throughout the Triple Crown will split cash prizes totaling $14,000.

While you’re booking your registration, you’ll likely want to find a place to stay where you can feel rested and at ease, while still being close to the action.
