Celebrate a special ecosystem right here in Noosa

Take a walk on the wild side…

…through the wilderness along the sunshine coast

From 21 August 21 through 3 September, the Sunshine Coast is offering a unique and delightful experience as locals and tourists are invited to celebrate the beautifully bright and fragrant wild flowers, grown only in the Wallum heathland, that offer a unique Australian ecosystem, found in areas including Noosa National Park, Girraween Nature Refuge (Sunrise Beach), Weyba Nature Reserve (Lake Weyba), Marcus beach high dunes, Coolum Beach and Arthur Harrold Nature Refuge (Noosa North Shore). The Sunshine Coast Wildflower festival will feature 16 guided walks in areas between Bribie Island and Noosa. Walk through the National parks and up mountains to discover an amazing and diverse array of colors, shapes and blossoms for a one of kind experience.

Festival highlights include the Arthur Harrold Nature Refuge, Noosa North Shore, Noosa National headland section wildflower walk, and the Girraween Nature Refuge Wildflower walk, featuring the Noosa Integrated Catchment Association. Also included are the Weyba Nature Refuge biodiversity walk with Friends of Lake Weyba, Marcus High Dunes and Lake Weyba with friends of Lake Weyba and Noosa Parks Botany group. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Weyba and the coast. This year’s festival events are free, however, some bookings are required for some events.
